Try & Fail Or Never Make the Attempt?

I’m back to answer question number two from my post 50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind.

Which is worse, failing or never trying?

I didn’t even have to think about this one. I’d rather fail a thousand times then never try something because I was afraid I might fail. That’s not to say that things I want to do don’t scare the crap out of me sometimes and that the fear of failing isn’t there-I am an over-achiever at best-one of those people for whom a “B” isn’t a good thing. We can’t be ruled by our fears, we must rule them and to do so is to try and do the things-that if we succeed would make our lives that much more richer-not necessarily in the monetary sense either….but would fulfill us and add meaning to our existence.

  • I agree! I have a lot of hesitations because I’m afraid to fail, but this reminds me it’s now or never!

  • I can totally relate! It is what I have found with blogging itself. I really wanted to do it but part of me was afraid to try – want if noone wants to read my thoughts, enter my giveaways or even wants to stop by? I’m definitely a try versus a not try type of gal!

I think your 50 questions are really cool!

  • I completely agree with you, Nicole! You never know how anything is going to turn out until you try. You take a leap of faith and ignore the churning in your belly warning you to stop.

now do I ever get overtaken by fear? Yes, but I try my best not to let it rule me and I keep trying.
