Rainy Day Wardrobe Promise

Rainy Day Wardrobe Promise

It’s been rainy here lately. Or rather we’ve seen days that promise rain and never fulfill that promise. To my surprise I don’t mind it. I actually like it. The thought of a rainy day doesn’t bring me grief as it might have once. After this past winter and all the snow rain feels great to me. It reminds me of Florida but unlike Florida where it rains all the time, this time of year the rain really does bring with it a promise. With each rain drop it promises green grasses, flowers in bloom, and warmer days ahead.

There’s an added bonus. Those lovely rain boots I bought. I’ll get to wear them.

I was playing on polyvore earlier and came up with this perfect rainy day outfit. I can see myself strolling through a flea-market, perusing goods at a farmers market, while at wine festival or jumping puddles with my boys while wearing this. Couldn’t you?

I Got My Hunter Boots!

I Got My Hunter Boots!

Not long ago I wrote a post about my vision board. On my vision board was a picture of a pair of Hunter Wellington Boots, that I have been drooling over for about two years.  I put them on my vision board towards the end of January. Last month I auctioned off about three pairs of old UGGS that because of my weight loss no longer fit properly.

With the money I made selling my old UGGS I purchased these black Orignial Hunter Wellington boots-as a bonus, I got them for a STEEL too! Can you tell how over the moon I am.

I was trying to be all seductive, but I was so darn happy I couldn’t pull it off.

Indecently, my husband had me chasing him around the house as he is the one who collected them from the postman when he delivered them. He had quite the laugh at watching me act like a crack head!

Oh…and one other thing. In case you didn’t know. These boots were worn by Kristin Stewart (she play’s Bella) in Twilight during the La Push beach scene. Little bit of triva there for you…

How to Make Distressed Jeans

In fashion certain things are timeless like a really nice pair of jeans. I can think of nothing more comfortable than an old beloved pair of denim jeans. It just so happens that distressed denim is rather fashionable these days. If you were like me and lacking that old pair of jeans, but long for the look of distressed denim and really didn’t want to fork out the cash for a pair of ripped pants, I’m here to help. Distressing a pair of jeans you already own that sit in your closet right now is easy and free!

Ruffles

Ruffles

I’m sorta in love with ruffles these days. It’s a love that’s been growing. A slow burn really, ever since I found this shirt on clearance at Target last summer.

That’s not to say that I didn’t always fancy a happy ruffle, but when you’re overweight, ruffles aren’t something you can wear very easily. I am no longer overweight. Hope you got  that memo. Now, I am finally able to dress  like me.

I’m begining a new feature here. Fashion. More specifically fashion that I like. Hope you like it too.

Today, I like ruffles. I went in search of ruffly things that appealed to me.

Pink Chandelier T-Shirts

I’ve been designing t-shirts for over a year now and selling my designs on Cafe Press. It all started when I wanted a Twilight t-shirt that spoke to my personality and love for the characters, from that initial t-shirt the designs just kept coming and I couldn’t’ stop my self.

One night I was working on a logo for my blog when I decided I wanted a Chandelier t-shirt of my very own…and here’s what I came up with! On the front is a pink chandelier on the back my web address. All in pretty cursive and lots of pink!

My friend Noelle and I in my Chandelier T's.

I’m currently working on a series of Lost t-shirts- if there’s something you’d like to see, please tell me!

What I Wear During A Blizzard

What I Wear During A Blizzard

We’re in the middle of a blizzard in my little part of the world and I’m totally dressed for it.

I’m wearing a chocolate brown Fossil hat, green hand made fingerless mittens, a gray merino wool scarf -I’ve been wearing this scarf a lot this season. It’s my favorite and a “Pale is the New Tan” t-shirt.

Yes. I’m indoors, what’s your point? It’s the winter and this outfit-although I am experience my first blizzard EVER is pretty much how I dress when I’m indoors. No, we don’t keep our house at frigid, our thermostat is set to about 70 degrees-any higher and my family would suffer heat stroke! Because of my weight loss I’m cold a lot and in this is my best solution, other wise my family would have to dress like it’s 90 degrees outside because our heat would be on 85! :)

My husband snapped this picture as I played catch with my little guy.
